The Story
Modern film scoring changed when composers realized the orchestra wasn't the only option. Hans Zimmer built The Dark Knight from synthesizers and a single cello note played until it felt like a weapon. Cliff Martinez scored Drive with pulsing electronic textures that felt like neon and adrenaline. Thomas Newman made American Beauty sound like suburban dread with nothing but a marimba and a plastic bag in the wind. The new language of cinematic music is built from pulses, sequences, textures, and atmospheres — not melodies and harmonies in the traditional sense.
This library speaks that language. Cinematic pulses, rhythmic sequences, sweeping soundscapes, atmospheric textures, and dramatic builds — layered with orchestral elements, sequenced synths, and cinematic percussion. The arrangements are designed for motion. They evolve. They build tension. They release it. Every kit was structured to function as a cue — a piece of score that moves a scene forward from one emotional state to another.
The production is deliberately modern — clean, precise, and built for high-resolution delivery. The synths were programmed and performed with analog gear, then captured digitally at full resolution. The orchestral elements were recorded live. The percussive textures combine acoustic instruments with electronic processing. Every stem sits in a wide stereo field with clear spatial definition. This is scoring material designed to sit under dialogue, behind picture, and inside a mix that demands absolute clarity.

Are these sounds royalty-free, and can I use them commercially?
Yes — 100% royalty-free, forever. Use the sounds in songs, albums, sync placements, film, TV, ads, client work, podcasts, and commercial releases. No attribution required, no per-use fees, and you keep full ownership of your finished work. Once you buy, you're free to create and release.
What formats are included with my purchase?
Every purchase includes all available formats, bundled for one price — no edition to choose at checkout. You get DAW-Ready Sessions (pre-formatted, ready-to-open sessions for supported DAWs), Multi-Format audio (WAV, for drag-and-drop into any DAW), Apple Loops, and REX and — on most libraries — a Kontakt Engine Edition. You get everything.
Do I need Kontakt to use this library?
No. Kontakt is completely optional. All libraries include standard WAV files that work in any DAW without additional software. If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (5.6.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
Will this work in my DAW?
Yes. All We Sound Human products work in every major DAW using standard audio files.
This includes Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, GarageBand, Reaper, and more.
If your DAW can play audio, these sounds will work.
Are these playable instruments, or can I play them on a MIDI keyboard?
These are performance-based loops and phrases played by real musicians — not multi-sampled instruments where you play individual notes. The Kontakt Engine Edition is phrase-based: you arrange and edit authentic recorded performances rather than playing free melodies or chords from a MIDI keyboard. If you're after a playable instrument for live improvisation, these libraries aren't built for that.
