The Story
Most cinematic guitar libraries stay in one lane — ambient or aggressive, acoustic or electric, Western or Eastern. This one crosses every border. A Japanese koto sits next to a Nashville banjo. This library spans the full range of cinematic guitar and stringed instruments. Acoustic and electric guitars, chime guitars, tremolo, baritone, resonator, banjo, ukulele, and koto — every instrument recorded with a cinematic approach that prioritizes mood and atmosphere over technique. Every instrument was recorded to capture its natural acoustic character — the resonance of the koto, the metallic ring of the resonator, the warmth of the ukulele, the depth of the baritone. Close microphones preserve the detail. Room microphones preserve the space. No instrument was over-processed or forced into a sound it didn't naturally make. The ethnic and acoustic instruments sound like what they are — real objects from real places, played by musicians who know the traditions they come from. Are these sounds royalty-free, and can I use them commercially?
Yes — 100% royalty-free, forever. Use the sounds in songs, albums, sync placements, film, TV, ads, client work, podcasts, and commercial releases. No attribution required, no per-use fees, and you keep full ownership of your finished work. Once you buy, you're free to create and release.
What formats are included with my purchase?
Every purchase includes all available formats, bundled for one price — no edition to choose at checkout. You get DAW-Ready Sessions (pre-formatted, ready-to-open sessions for supported DAWs), Multi-Format audio (WAV, for drag-and-drop into any DAW), Apple Loops, and REX and — on most libraries — a Kontakt Engine Edition. You get everything.
Do I need Kontakt to use this library?
No. Kontakt is completely optional. All libraries include standard WAV files that work in any DAW without additional software. If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (5.6.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
Will this work in my DAW?
Yes. All We Sound Human products work in every major DAW using standard audio files.
This includes Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, GarageBand, Reaper, and more.
If your DAW can play audio, these sounds will work.
Are these playable instruments, or can I play them on a MIDI keyboard?
These are performance-based loops and phrases played by real musicians — not multi-sampled instruments where you play individual notes. The Kontakt Engine Edition is phrase-based: you arrange and edit authentic recorded performances rather than playing free melodies or chords from a MIDI keyboard. If you're after a playable instrument for live improvisation, these libraries aren't built for that.
What if the library doesn’t fit my project?
We want you creating with sounds you love. If you're not happy with your purchase within 30 days, install it, give it a try, then reach out — we'll help you find a library that better fits, or issue a full refund.
How do downloads and future access work?
