No — Kontakt is completely optional. Every library includes standard WAV files that work in any DAW with no extra software. Kontakt is just one of the formats included; if you don't use it, you're not missing anything, because the same content is in the Multi-Format (WAV) edition.

The Kontakt Engine Edition is a phrase-based performance engine built from real recorded performances, loops, and samples — not a multi-sampled virtual instrument. It requires the full paid version of Native Instruments Kontakt (5.6.5 or higher); it will not run in the free Kontakt Player or as a standalone VST. Don't have full Kontakt? Use the Multi-Format (WAV) edition — it has the identical content and drops straight into any DAW.

First, confirm you're running the full paid version of Kontakt 5.6.5 or higher (the free Player won't work). If you hit a specific problem — missing files, an error message — email us with the details (a short screen recording helps), and we'll get you a fix, or point you to the Multi-Format edition if that's a better fit.

That's the one thing you can't do. You're free to create and release any music with our sounds, but you can't repackage the samples — modified or not — into a sample library, loop library, or virtual instrument to sell or share. Everything else is yours.

No. Our license prohibits using the samples to train, develop, or improve any AI system — machine learning models, neural networks, or otherwise — without our written permission. These were played by real musicians, and that's how they stay.

Yes — you can use the sounds to create tracks for production-music and library-music catalogs. The one exception: you can't use or recreate a library's demo mix tracks. Everything else is fair game for your compositions.
