The Story
Every film has a shadow in its soundtrack — a texture underneath the scene that you feel in your chest without being able to name it. It's not music in the traditional sense. It's atmosphere. A low, sustained drone that tells you something is wrong. A shimmering delay that tells you someone is remembering. A dark, pulsing rhythm that tells you time is running out. Guitar-based soundscapes have become the secret weapon of modern film and TV scoring because they occupy a frequency range and an emotional register that synthesizers and orchestras can't reach on their own.
This library goes deep into that territory. Delayed guitars, pad guitars, echo guitars, slide, and pulse textures — all recorded with an emphasis on darkness and tension. These aren't pretty ambient washes. They're brooding, unsettling, and designed to create emotional weight in a scene. The tones range from barely audible drones to swelling, distorted walls of sound. Every kit was built to create a cinematic world — a place that exists only in the sound.
Each guitar was processed through a chain of effects chosen for the specific emotional target of the piece — different delays, different reverbs, different distortion profiles. The recordings were captured with all processing intact, preserving the real-time interaction between the guitarist and the gear. The textures evolve because the player was making decisions as the performance unfolded — adjusting feedback, shifting the volume pedal, changing the delay time mid-phrase. That movement is what separates these soundscapes from static pads. They breathe, shift, and respond the way a live performance does.

Do I need Kontakt to use this library?
No. Kontakt is completely optional.
All libraries include standard WAV files that work in any DAW without additional software.
If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (v5.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
Will this work in my DAW?
Yes. All We Sound Human products work in every major DAW using standard audio files.
