The Story
The blues started with almost nothing — a voice, a guitar, and something worth grieving. In the Mississippi Delta, Robert Johnson, Charley Patton, and Son House turned that grief into a musical language that changed everything that came after it. The music moved north to Chicago with Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf, where it picked up an electric edge. It moved to Texas with Stevie Ray Vaughan and got louder. But the DNA never changed. Twelve bars. A shuffle beat. A guitar that says what the singer can't.
This library traces that entire lineage. Slide guitars — both acoustic and electric — sit alongside shuffling drums, swinging upright bass, and old-school guitar tones that range from clean and aching to overdriven and mean. The players came from the tradition. They know the difference between playing blues and playing at it — the way a note bends just past the pitch before settling, the way a shuffle breathes behind the beat instead of sitting on top of it. These are performances, not patterns.
Recorded with almost no processing at all. What you hear is what was in the room — guitar through an amp, harmonica into a mic, drums with a pair of overheads and nothing else. No EQ tricks. No studio polish. The blues doesn't need it. Every stem is clean and usable, but the tone was captured at the source, not built after the fact. This is as close to a live blues session as a recording gets.

If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (v5.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
Will this work in my DAW?
