The Story
Americana isn't just a genre — it's the original American music. Born where Appalachian folk, blues, and country collided in the rural South, it carries the weight of front-porch storytelling, Saturday night dance halls, and church hymns sung without a microphone. Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, the Carter Family — they didn't invent it. They inherited it and passed it along. Every bluegrass lick and western swing phrase alive today traces back to that same dirt road.
This library captures that tradition through musicians who grew up playing it. The fiddle player learned from his grandfather in East Tennessee. The banjo player cut his teeth at festivals in the Smoky Mountains. They play like people who don't need a click track — pushing and pulling against each other the way a real band does. Every take has that natural human timing that no quantize grid can fake.
Recorded in Nashville and the Osark Mountains with natural room sound — no synthetic reverb, no sample replacement. You can hear the resonance of the dobro ringing out, the snap of banjo strings, the warmth of the mandolin sitting in the low-mids. Every instrument was tracked clean so you can solo any part or blend them all. That's what gives it the warmth of a finished record the moment you drop it into your session.

What formats are included with my purchase?

Do I need Kontakt to use this library?
No. Kontakt is completely optional.
All libraries include standard WAV files that work in any DAW without additional software.
If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (v5.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
Will this work in my DAW?
Yes. All We Sound Human products work in every major DAW using standard audio files.
