The Story
Classic rock is the sound of a band playing louder than the room was built for. Van Halen's opening riff on "Eruption." Hendrix setting a Stratocaster on fire at Monterey. Queen layering vocals until the tape machine ran out of tracks. The golden age of rock — roughly 1968 to 1985 — wasn't subtle. It was Marshall stacks, double kick drums, and guitar solos that lasted longer than some songs. The records from that era still sound massive because the musicians were massive. They filled stadiums with nothing but volume, skill, and attitude.
This library captures that scale. Vintage electric guitars through red-hot amplifiers, killer organs, power pianos, and thunderous drums — every instrument recorded to sound like it's playing to the back row of an arena. The arrangements are big. The dynamics go from zero to ten with no stops in between. The guitar tones range from warm clean to full-stack roar. These are performances built for the kind of songs that open with a riff and don't let go until the last cymbal crash.
The guitar tones were captured at the amp — microphone on the cabinet, tubes glowing, speaker cones flexing. That's where classic rock tone lives. Not in a plug-in. Not in a model. In the physical relationship between a hot tube amp and a microphone placed six inches from the grill cloth. The drums were recorded in a room big enough to let them breathe — overheads wide, room mics pulled back, kick and snare close and punchy. Every stem arrives with the tone already baked in. Add your own reverb if you want space. The character is already there.

All libraries include standard WAV files that work in any DAW without additional software.
If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (v5.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
