The Story
The piano is the most cinematic acoustic instrument ever built. One note in an empty room can set a mood. A simple chord progression can break a heart. Film and television have leaned on the piano for emotional heavy lifting since the silent film era — and the instrument has never lost that power. Thomas Newman, Yann Tiersen, Nils Frahm, Max Richter — they all know that a piano recorded in the right space, played with the right restraint, can carry an entire score by itself.
This library gives you twelve piano arrangements, each with six distinct stylistic variations — main, chords, octave, phrases, singles, and SFX. That means every arrangement unfolds into a palette of options. Use the full main performance for a complete piece. Pull just the chord variation for harmonic support. Layer the octave variation for depth. Drop in the phrases for melodic fragments. The SFX variations deliver prepared piano textures, string scrapes, and resonance effects for sound design work.
The pianos were recorded — both grand and upright — in a room chosen for its natural reverb. Close mics capture the hammer strike and string detail. Room mics capture the instrument breathing in the space. Both arrive as separate stems so you can blend the intimate and the expansive to taste. No synthetic processing was applied. The sustain, the decay, and the harmonic overtones are all the real instrument responding to the real room. That's what makes the quiet notes sound alive instead of empty.

Do I need Kontakt to use this library?
No. Kontakt is completely optional.
All libraries include standard WAV files that work in any DAW without additional software.
If a Kontakt Engine version is included, it requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt (v5.5 or higher) and will not run in the free Kontakt Player.
Will this work in my DAW?
Yes. All We Sound Human products work in every major DAW using standard audio files.
