What kind of music creative are you?
I am an audio engineer and producer.
What inspired you to start creating music?
Music has always been a passion of mine from a young age. Growing up, I was influenced by so many genres of music, which is probably why I love to blend/mesh different genres together now!
After getting my degree in audio engineering, I started producing as a hobby, and that quickly turned into a huge part of my career. I have produced multiple #1 billboard & other chart-topping records. Having the top quality sounds that We Sound Human offers has helped me so much.
What is your studio setup?
As an engineer and producer, I use Protools & Logic Pro for different reasons. For tracking/mixing/mastering, I use Protools. When I am producing beats, I use Logic Pro.
"I've worked on just about all different types of music at this point, but mostly hip-hop and a newer subgenre called "country rap."
Do you play any musical instruments?
The drums! I took drum lessons when I was growing up for over eight, years. Although I don't have an actual drum set anymore, I "play" the drums every day as I produce beats.
I am 100% sure that all the years of drum lessons have paid off because they developed a sense of timing/bounce/song structure etc, in my career as a producer.
What type of music do you create?
I'm blessed to work with many talented artists across many genres so I'm never boxed into one thing. I work with hip-hop artist, country, rock etc all in the same day... you name it, I've done it!
I've worked on just about all different types of music at this point, but mostly hip-hop and a newer subgenre called "country rap". It's taking more of the country elements like what We Sound Human offers (guitars/Mando/steel/harmonica etc) and adding hip-hop/trap drums instead of the standard drum-kit you hear in traditional country music.
Artists like Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll & Upchurch are a few have really brought the genre to where it is today.
What is your creation process?
It depends on what I want to create. I almost always start with a melody... Maybe something really simple just to get a vibe going. I'll slowly add in drums to create the bounce and then go back to add more elements of the melody is usually how I create.
I love the Country Guitars and Country Pop libraries We Sound Human offers because it gives me instant drum ideas to add!
What project are you the proudest of?
Well, it's hard to say just one specific project because I have honestly been lucky to work with many talented artists. I have a couple of records on an Adam Calhoun project that charted #1 on the Billboard that really changed everything up for me as a producer so that one definitely stands out to me as a milestone moment in my career.
Why do you choose We Sound Human libraries?
I have clients buying my beats from across many different genres so having the sound libraries that We Sound Human offers helps me out a lot. I can create a live sounding drum track and pair that with some live guitar licks with ease.
Having an almost endless supply of sound packs at my disposal is amazing. Not to mention they are all played live by real people. That gives my sound such an organic sound and feel that can't be achieved with the fake, computerized sounds you can get now-a-days.
I'm so proud to be partnered with We Sound Human. My relationship with the owner has grown into a friendship and I trust this company.
Where can people hear your music?
You can find me on Instagram @DUB3030Beats. I also have a website where I offer beats for sell and mixing/mastering services www.DUB3030.com.
